That’s right. Whether you’ve studied Meisner, Strasberg, Stanislavski or a new age mash-up of all of the above, use what works for you. We’re all built differently, so we have different ways of relating to ourselves and to the world, and therefore we have a different way of connecting to our physicality and our emotions. So while I have a platform that I use to coach all my students, I know that not all techniques will work for all students. Some students may require a different way to connect with the copy and tap into their emotions. So I provide them with the tools to be able to execute a great performance on a consistent basis. So if option A doesn’t work for them, I know option B will. It never fails.
In short, find what works for you and stick to that. If something doesn’t work for you, toss it. You want to empower yourself with the techniques that will allow you to create consistency in maintaining high-quality performances every time.
